Hello! Welcome to my blog :)
These are some "old" photos from my finnish blog http://riimumoukari.blogspot.fi/
All models and terrain are painted using brushes and acrylic paints.
Blood Angels
These were fun to paint. I used parts from Sanguinary Guard, Death Company and Tactical Squad.
I made the terrain piece from foam and cardboard. I glued sand on cardboard to give texture and I think it came out nice. Guns and the light on the bunker are leftovers from Imperial Guard packs.
Hammer of the Righteous (Imperial Fists)
I had to rename this chapter cause (even after hours of practicing) I couldn't freehand the Imperial Fists logo well enough and I don't like using transfers. So my friend Ken designed a new logo. A hammer with laurel. It's on every models shoulder pad. In these pictures it can be seen fully only on the flag.
Dreadnought is from Assault on Black Reach and I painted it many years ago in Iron Warriors theme.. It wasn't very well painted :D So I removed the old paint with acetone. Not the best stuff for plastic models but luckily only skulls and wires lost some detail.
High Elves
Lothren Sea Guard and Swordmasters of Hoeth models are from Island of Blood starter. I have to say that this might be the best starter so far. The detail and quality on these models is amazing. I really liked painting these (gems gems gems! :D)
Eltharion the Blind is one of my all time favorites. It's very simple model but it has epic and almost majestic presence.
Vampire Counts
My Vampire Counts "army" currently has only one GW miniature (Vampire Lord, not in these pictures). It will be mainly a zombie army. My goal is about 300 zombies, few lords/necromancers, Hexwraiths and maybe Blood Knighs. I'm at 50+ zombies and two lords and a necromancer.
For zombies I decided to use Mantic Games miniatures. I think they look better than GW ones.
Also they are much cheaper :D Vampire Lord and necromancer are Reaper Bones series minis.
The sword on the vampire was badly bent but by heating it in hot water I managed to straighten it almost completely.
Random minis
The dragon was from Michaels. Ice Dragon (maybe). At first the paint didn't stay on it but after dishwashing soap bath it started to stay on it. Base is made from cardboard and foam.
The dwarf and kneeling paladin are Reaper minis and I'm going to use them in Pathfinder.
Games-Workshop paladins I bought cause they looked cool :D but I don't think I'm going to build Stormcast Eternals army.
Waystone terrain piece
I made this from foam and cardboard. I painted the water and covered it with multiple layers of varnish. I shaped rocks by ripping pieces from foam with scissors. I used the same technique to make the damage on the waystone.
